FARO Technologies, a global developer of high-precision 3D measurement devices used in manufacturing, quality assurance and accident reconstruction, was facing lengthening weekly full backup windows and limited on-disk retention with a first-generation disk-to-disk system. As the company grew, its IT team needed greater throughput and data deduplication to complete backups on schedule and keep more backup data online.
