Hamilton County Developmental Disabilities Services in Cincinnati supports people with developmental disabilities but was hampered by an unreliable backup environment—tape and Backup Exec appliances that frequently failed, required multiple hardware replacements, and created multi-day backup windows that forced weekly backups and lengthy restores. This complexity strained IT resources and risked noncompliance with long-term retention requirements.
