CTPartners, a New York–headquartered executive search firm with 27 offices in 17 countries, moved to a virtualized infrastructure and found its legacy tape/disk backup approach could not keep up: data was growing rapidly, backup windows were spiraling out of control, and the company needed a solution optimized for virtual environments with strong deduplication and faster restores.

CTPartners deployed Veeam Backup & Recovery with an ExaGrid disk-based, scale-out GRID appliance. ExaGrid’s landing zone and post-process deduplication enabled Veeam Instant VM Recovery and “point-and-click” restores, while GRID scaling and assigned support simplified growth and management. The result: backup windows cut by as much as 50% (Exchange backups fell from 13 to under 6 hours), deduplication up to 4.86:1 (25 TB stored using 8 TB of disk), and improved disaster-recovery confidence.
