EwingCole, a nationally recognized architecture, engineering and design firm with more than 45 years in practice and 300+ professionals, was struggling to protect rapidly growing data. Their tape-based backups required as many as 15 tapes for full backups, causing backup windows to extend into the workday, slowing the network and making restores time-consuming and difficult to manage.

EwingCole deployed an ExaGrid disk-based backup system with a second site for disaster recovery, integrated with their existing Symantec Backup Exec. The move shortened backup windows, sped up restores, and reduced management time by at least eight hours per week, while ExaGrid’s scalable GRID architecture lets the firm easily expand capacity to accommodate future data growth.
