First National Bank of Hutchinson (FNBH), a locally owned community bank with seven locations in south central Kansas, was struggling with unreliable tape backups and an inadequate 12-hour backup window—some jobs stretched to 20 hours—so full backups weren’t completing and software-based deduplication only achieved about 5:1 efficiency. The bank needed faster, more reliable disk-based backups and a scalable solution to handle growing data.

Since implementation FNBH completes backups in under 11 hours, increased retention from 20 to 30 days, and saw deduplication improve from 5:1 to 27:1, enabling the bank to store far more data with lower cost and better performance.
