CFI Medical Solutions Selects ExaGrid Based on Reputation of ‘Absolutely Excellent’ Customer Support

CFI Medical Solutions, an FDA-registered, ISO 13485-certified manufacturer of Class I & II medical devices with about 300 employees, needed to replace slow tape backups to speed backups and minimize restore times. After evaluating options, the company selected ExaGrid for its “absolutely excellent” customer support, easy deployment, product stability and seamless integration with their existing Symantec Backup Exec environment.

CFI deployed a two-site ExaGrid disk-based backup system with post-process, zone-level deduplication and replication for disaster recovery. The change cut the backup window from 24 to 7 hours, saved roughly five hours of weekly management time, dramatically reduced storage needs (typical dedupe 10:1 to 50:1), and provided scalable, high-availability backups backed by responsive, account-dedicated support.
