Brooks Rehabilitation Meets Compliance Requirements with ExaGrid and Veeam

Brooks Rehabilitation, a 40+ year provider of medical rehab services, was struggling with a legacy IBM TSM and tape-based backup process that was time-consuming, complex, and unreliable for restores. Frequent tape swaps, difficult administration, and a lack of confidence in recovery left IT searching for a simpler, more dependable solution that would also meet compliance and offsite retention requirements.

Brooks replaced tape and TSM with an ExaGrid disk-based backup appliance paired with Veeam (and Arcserve for a few physical servers), deploying a two-site ExaGrid GRID with replication. The environment now protects over 160 TB with 95% virtualization, delivering about 80% time savings on backup administration, deduplication ratios up to 10:1, low-maintenance Veeam integration, offsite replication for compliance, and dedicated ExaGrid support for greater reliability and peace of mind.
