Bridgestone Chooses ExaGrid and Veeam for Virtualized Backups; Realizes 30% Reduction in Backup Window

BridgeStone Americas Tire Operations, part of Bridgestone, needed to replace an outdated tape-based backup setup with a more efficient system for file server and virtualized backups. The company evaluated options including Quantum and Dell EMC Data Domain before selecting ExaGrid, along with Veeam for virtual servers and Veritas Backup Exec for physical servers.

ExaGrid implemented a disk-based backup-to-disk solution with a landing zone and adaptive deduplication, improving backup performance and scalability while simplifying recovery. BridgeStone reported daily incrementals completing in 15 minutes and a weekly full backup window cut from 19.5 hours to 13.5 hours, a 30% reduction; ExaGrid also delivered strong support throughout deployment and ongoing operations.
