Beyond Nines is a US-based consulting firm that helps nonprofit organizations get more from Blackbaud software. As its customer base and hosted data grew, the company’s backup environment—five daisy-chained low-end NAS devices—could no longer keep up: backups stretched 12–15 hours and began overlapping production hours, risking user access and forcing the firm to find a more scalable, offsite disaster-recovery solution.

After evaluating options, Beyond Nines deployed ExaGrid’s scale-out GRID appliances with Veeam, installing a primary system in Dallas and replicating nightly to a Seattle DR site. The combined solution cut backup windows from 12–15 hours to 2–3 hours (about 10x faster), delivered 4.5:1 post-process deduplication, enabled instant VM recoveries for fast, granular restores, and provided easy scalability, automated alerts, and proactive support.
