ACNB Bank Installs ExaGrid System, Runs “Flawlessly”

ACNB Bank, founded in 1857 and operating 19 retail and four loan offices across Pennsylvania, was successfully backing up to disk but repeatedly failed to replicate data to its disaster recovery site without adding bandwidth. After multiple unsuccessful attempts left backups falling behind, the bank’s IT team evaluated alternatives and selected ExaGrid.

ACNB installed an ExaGrid EX13000 at its primary datacenter and an EX7000 at the DR site, integrating seamlessly with Symantec Backup Exec. ExaGrid’s zone-level deduplication (up to 8:1) more than doubled retention, enabled overnight replication with minimal WAN use, reduced backup management time by about 15% and the backup window by about 20%, and delivered easy scalability through its GRID architecture.
