The Cherish Center, a Noblesville, IN non-profit that conducts forensic interviews for child abuse investigations, needed a modern surveillance system to reliably record interviews, improve safety and enable detailed review. After its aging DVR system led to missed recordings and limited storage, The Cherish Center worked with integrator Nelson Alarm and selected Exacq Technologies’ exacqVision A-Series IP camera server and exacqVision Professional VMS (combined with Axis IP cameras and audio kits) to meet its needs.

Exacq Technologies’ solution—an exacqVision A-Series server with 2 TB storage and exacqVision Professional software plus four Axis 1.2 MP IP cameras—was deployed to cover lobby, hallway and two interview rooms. The system doubled review efficiency and reduced video review time by 50%, stores weeks to months of footage for later evidence, improves ability to read children’s expressions with digital PTZ, enables simultaneous interviews, simplifies use for multiple agencies, and enhances protection of staff and children while remaining scalable for future expansion.
