A Exacq Technologies Case Study
St. Joseph’s Healthcare System, a multi-hospital health system in Northern New Jersey serving roughly 1,000 beds and thousands of staff, needed a centralized video solution to ensure a safe environment for patients, staff and visitors across six hospitals. They required easy access to real-time and recorded video, seamless integration of existing analog cameras with new IP megapixel cameras, and system-wide monitoring from a Security Dispatch Center. To meet these needs they engaged Exacq Technologies and its exacqVision Hybrid & IP servers and VMS software.
Exacq Technologies installed 12 exacqVision Hybrid Servers and 1 exacqVision IP Server running exacqVision VMS, managing 215 cameras (51 IP megapixel and 163 analog) over PoE and the hospital WAN, with the exacqVision client on a video wall plus 15+ client PCs. The deployment enabled continuous centralized monitoring of six hospitals, easy search/export of recorded video to DVD/USB, reuse of analog coax to reduce costs, and higher-resolution coverage with IP cameras. As a result, St. Joseph’s now monitors all key access points and public areas system-wide — 215 cameras and 15+ client workstations are in active use — and reports that the exacqVision solution meets their requirements and delivers excellent performance.
