Olivewood Residential Estate, a 70‑acre Johannesburg neighborhood of more than 350 homes, needed to upgrade community security and move from analog to IP cameras so staff could access and monitor activity at any time. Olivewood consulted local integrator Hood Links and chose Exacq Technologies’ exacqVision VMS software and Exacq Mobile app as the vendor solution.

Hood Links installed a wireless IP camera network (26 cameras, with equipment summaries listing 36 total) using Axis and Arecont Vision cameras feeding into the Exacq Technologies exacqVision system; guards can view up to 16 camera feeds at once and monitor 24/7 from the guard station, save custom views for quick access, and use the Exacq Mobile app for remote review. The Exacq Technologies solution proved easier and more cost‑effective to install and use, improved incident response and searchable evidence, and helped deter crime while protecting residents.
