K-VA-T Food Stores, Inc., a 100+ store supermarket chain operating as Food City and Super Dollar across Kentucky, Virginia and Tennessee, needed to replace proprietary DVRs and analog cameras with a scalable, easy-to-use video system that could support heavy Loss Prevention use and improve image quality. They selected Exacq Technologies’ exacqVision video management software to meet those requirements.

Exacq Technologies deployed exacqVision on HP ProLiant servers with 1.3–5 megapixel IP cameras and integrated the VMS with MICROS-Retail XBR Loss Prevention software, enabling exception-based transaction monitoring and fast video retrieval. The solution replaced legacy DVRs across the chain, improved image resolution, enabled remote monitoring and management, and helped K-VA-T reduce shrinkage and slip-and-fall exposure while streamlining investigations for Loss Prevention and store management.
