Jim Thorpe Area School District - Customer Case Study

Jim Thorpe Area School District, which serves more than 2,500 students across four facilities, was struggling with an outdated, cumbersome DVR system that prevented IT staff and administrators from quickly locating and using video evidence. After evaluating options and consulting integrator Sage Technology Solutions, the district chose Exacq Technologies’ exacqVision video management system and A-Series hybrid servers to replace the failing system.

Sage installed three Exacq Technologies exacqVision A-Series hybrid servers (one per building), tied to 95 existing analog cameras plus 16 new IP cameras, with up to 2 TB storage per building and exacqVision Professional VMS compatible with Mac and mobile clients. The Exacq Technologies deployment let principals remotely view and search footage, sped police response by allowing in-vehicle camera access, enabled quick export of clips used in prosecutions (including a break-in and a graduation incident), and improved day‑to‑day incident handling, deterrence of theft/vandalism, and scalability for future camera additions.
