Detroit Country Day School - Customer Case Study

Detroit Country Day School, a pre-K–12 independent school serving more than 1,500 students across four campuses, needed a video surveillance solution that infrequent users could operate without IT support, would run on an industry-standard server/OS, and would integrate existing analog cameras as the school transitioned to IP. To meet those needs the school selected exacqVision video management software (VMS) from Exacq Technologies.

Exacq Technologies installed exacqVision on an HP ProLiant server running Microsoft Server 2008 with recording to an iSCSI disk array, managing 43 Axis IP cameras and 27 analog cameras via Axis encoders; client software was deployed to two dedicated security PCs and nine dean/administrator PCs. The deployment enabled easy searching and export of video, faster incident investigations, improved monitoring and building management, and helped reduce vandalism and protect students and assets.
