A Exacq Technologies Case Study
Baltimore Washington Medical Center, a 308‑bed regional hospital in Maryland, needed to replace an inadequate analog surveillance system across its main hospital, outbuildings and parking garages with an open, IP‑based solution that preserved bandwidth and storage. Security Director Stan Mazewski selected Exacq Technologies’ exacqVision VMS (installed by partner S3 Integration) to support high‑resolution IP cameras, integrate existing analog gear, and meet campus‑wide monitoring needs.
Exacq Technologies’ exacqVision was deployed on multiple exacqVision servers with more than 120 IP cameras campus‑wide (and rapid coverage of 70% of a large cafeteria with just two 5MP cameras), plus mobile and client access for a 30‑person staff. The system reduced overall project time and costs, delivered low licensing/annual fees, and produced measurable results: critical video evidence in a fatal hit‑and‑run and a shooting eyewitness ID, license‑plate capture, and identification in a vending‑theft case totaling about $15,000 — all while improving information sharing with law enforcement.
