American Precious Metals Exchange - Customer Case Study

American Precious Metals Exchange (APMEX), one of the nation’s largest online precious-metal dealers, moved into the former Federal Reserve Bank of Oklahoma City and needed a state-of-the-art security, access control and CCTV solution with secure remote access. To address that challenge, integrator STAMPSCO selected Exacq Technologies’ exacqVision VMS software and associated hardware as the core of the upgrade.

Exacq Technologies’ exacqVision VMS was deployed on four exacqVision IP camera servers (RAID‑5, dual NICs, quad processors, 16 TB each) supporting more than 80 Stardot 1.3MP and 5MP cameras — including 26 in the bullion vault and 12 in the receiving vault — with a dedicated command center of seven 42‑inch and 15 19‑inch monitors. The Exacq-based system integrated with fire alarms and access control, enabled secure remote viewing from iPhone/iPad, expanded live and recorded coverage across the facility, and delivered measurable capacity (4 servers × 16 TB = 64 TB) and enhanced protection for APMEX’s employees and inventory.
