Carrefour, a global supermarket chain, sought to increase consumer engagement in its recycling initiatives, as the process was often seen as inconvenient for busy shoppers. They partnered with the vendor EVRYTHNG to address this challenge using smart packaging technology.

EVRYTHNG collaborated with Recycl3R to create the Reciclaya app, which allows customers to scan product receipts to learn how to correctly recycle items and earn discount points. This solution significantly enhanced brand engagement, with ten major brands joining the program. It also generated strong consumer interest, averaging over 20,000 interactions per month, and received widespread media coverage, successfully promoting long-term recycling habits.
