Sila Services Empowers Lone Workers With Enhanced Health and Safety Management Practices

Sila Services, a 1,000+ employee heating, cooling, plumbing and electrical services provider with most staff working alone, faced slow pen‑and‑paper incident reporting, low engagement and difficulty reaching lone workers. In 2021 Sila Services adopted Evotix’s health & safety software—deploying Incident Reporting, Hazard Reporting and the Learn training module (with Risk and Inspections underway)—to modernise reporting and build a safety community.

Evotix delivered a mobile‑first, highly configurable solution rolled out module‑by‑module; within six weeks key modules were live and within nine months the pen‑and‑paper program was replaced. Workers scan QR codes in vans to submit reports in 30 seconds or less, producing a massive uptick in first‑aid and near‑miss reporting, a highly engaged safety community (200+ comments on a heat‑stress video), and reduced time in safety meetings through Evotix’s Learn module—resulting in faster, more accurate reporting and stronger field engagement.
