Case Study: Sandvik achieves dramatic EHS culture transformation and major injury-rate reduction with Evotix

A Evotix Case Study

Preview of the Sandvik Case Study

Sandvik Cultural Change through EHS Technology Innovations

Sandvik, a global engineering group with over 43,000 employees and a large Mining and Rock Solutions division, struggled with fragmented, spreadsheet-based EHS reporting that limited transparency and cultural change. To capture both quantitative and qualitative data, assess behavioural change, and strengthen EHS ownership across sites, Sandvik engaged Evotix (an SAI360 company) and adopted Evotix’s EHS incident and hazard reporting capabilities.

Evotix implemented a flexible, integrated EHS platform that improved reporting, program management and stakeholder visibility; as a result Sandvik’s Total Recordable Injury Frequency Rate fell from 19.6 to 2.7, Lost Time Injury Frequency Rate is now 0.67, hazard close-out rates rose from 59% to 98%, identified hazards increased by 200%, 88% of employees rate the EHS culture strong or very strong, site EHS plan completion is above 98%, and monthly reporting performance improved ~80% — demonstrating clear cultural and safety impact driven by Evotix.
