Safety in Transit Transport for NSW’s Strategic Shift with Evotix

Transport for NSW (TfNSW), responsible for an integrated transport network of more than 25,000 people across New South Wales, faced fragmented HSE systems, poor centralised data and varied risk profiles across agencies. To modernise its health, safety and environment capability, TfNSW engaged Evotix and adopted Evotix’s myHSE Ngara platform as a scalable, configurable solution (customer since 2022).

Evotix delivered a phased rollout (first release Aug 2023: incident, hazard and inspection modules; second release Nov 2023: audits, project data submission, leadership engagement and environmental obligations), supported by 200+ Champions, a reporting API and dashboards into a data warehouse. In the first three months this drove measurable engagement—504 inspections, 1,255 findings, 21 investigations; 122,958 user interactions, 2,680 logins, 991 actions (69% closed) and 93% of hazards raised closed—giving TfNSW real‑time data to improve decision‑making and operational safety.
