Debra Increases Accident Reporting by 256%

DEBRA is an international medical research charity supporting people and families affected by epidermolysis bullosa (EB). With 105 charity shops and 7,000+ employees and volunteers, DEBRA struggled with cluttered stockrooms, trip hazards, paper-based incident reporting and limited visibility from branch audits. They engaged Evotix and its Assure health & safety platform in 2022 to address inconsistent reporting and poor trend analysis.

Evotix implemented and configured Assure (with a dedicated customer implementation consultant), rolled out mobile branch checks and a safeguarding form, and supported tablet adoption to boost engagement. As a result, near‑miss reports jumped from 2 in 2021 to 83 in 2022, accident reporting rose by 256%, and managers gained visibility across all 105 branches, enabling faster follow-up, clearer trend analysis and a more proactive safety culture.
