Pittsburgh’s PNC Park Aims to Bring Back the Nostalgic Park Experience With the Help of Evolv

Pittsburgh’s PNC Park faced long entrance lines, high nuisance alarms, and stressed security staff from legacy walkthrough metal detectors that degraded the fan experience and limited throughput. To improve NPS ingress scores and scale screening for game-day rushes without sacrificing safety, PNC Park selected Evolv and its Evolv Express screening systems along with Evolv Cortex AI and Evolv Insights (supported by Evolv Academy and onsite customer success resources).

Evolv deployed 10 single-lane and 1 dual-lane Evolv Express units, configured by Evolv Solutions Engineering and backed by training and ConOps updates, enabling faster, less intrusive screening. The result: PNC Park reduced its screening footprint from 40 metal detectors to 12 Evolv lanes (a >70% reduction), lowered nuisance alarm rates, cut intrusive secondary checks, improved NPS ingress scores, handled gate rushes smoothly, and used Evolv Insights analytics to optimize throughput and expand the security perimeter.
