New CITYPARK Stadium Adds Evolv to Its Cutting Edge Technology Portfolio to Help Keep Fans Safer

CITYPARK, the new St. Louis CITY SC stadium, faced the challenge of delivering a festival‑like fan experience while keeping 22,500 guests safe and moving through security in under 90 minutes—without the intrusive queues, high nuisance alarm rates, and heavy staffing demands of legacy metal detectors. To address this, CITYPARK selected Evolv and its solution stack (Evolv Express systems, Evolv Cortex AI and Evolv Insights) with onsite and online training via the Evolv Academy and Customer Success support.

Evolv configured and deployed 11 Express systems (19 lanes) across four entrances, developed operational procedures with the CITYPARK team, and used Evolv Insights to diagnose and resolve bottlenecks without adding hardware. The result: a 63% smaller screening footprint (roughly 19 Express lanes vs ~50 metal detectors), screening rates up to ~500 fans per minute at four gates, a much lower nuisance alarm rate, a reduction in required security staff (fewer than 60 vs an estimated 150), and the ability to get fans into the stadium quickly so they can enjoy concessions and amenities.
