Footprint Center Embraces Innovation as First NBA and WNBA Venue to Implement Evolv

Footprint Center, home to the NBA’s Phoenix Suns and WNBA’s Phoenix Mercury, needed to modernize venue security as part of a $230M renovation—eliminating lengthy pre-game and concert lines caused by legacy walkthrough metal detectors, creating a more welcoming, accessible ingress, and freeing security staff to focus on guest experience. To address this, Footprint Center partnered with Evolv and chose Evolv Express screening and Evolv Insights analytics as their solution.

Evolv deployed nine Evolv Express systems, provided on-site and online training through Evolv Academy, and supported operational tuning with a Solutions Engineer and Customer Success Manager. The Evolv implementation dramatically reduced screening lines and wait times, increased guests using non-bag Express lanes by 40%, maintained security standards, and enabled staff to reallocate to guest services—while Evolv Insights provided data to continually optimize performance.
