Fayette County Schools Deploy Evolv Express® Systems to Foster a Safe and Respectful Learning Environment

Fayette County Schools in Fayette County, West Virginia faced long ingress lines, intrusive hand‑held metal detector checks, missed first‑period classes, and constrained budgets while trying to improve student and staff safety. They partnered with Evolv to evaluate and deploy Evolv Express® systems as a faster, less disruptive weapons‑detection alternative.

Evolv — through its GiveEvolv program and Solutions Engineering team — funded, configured and deployed Evolv Express systems (dual‑ and single‑lane units) at three schools, trained staff in under a day, and provided ongoing support plus Evolv Insights® analytics. The deployment cut secondary security‑check alarms from about 40% to under 10%, eliminated long entry lines so students arrive to class on time, improved portability and situational awareness, and was funded with a four‑year subscription via the GiveEvolv grant from Evolv.
