Evolv Aims to Deliver Efficient Security Screening for Game Day at Amalie Arena

Amalie Arena, home of the NHL’s Tampa Bay Lightning, faced lengthy ingress lines, high nuisance alarm rates, slow secondary screenings, and security-staff fatigue from legacy walkthrough metal detectors. To solve this, Amalie Arena partnered with Evolv and deployed Evolv Express along with Evolv Cortex AI and Evolv Insights for frictionless, walk-through screening.

Evolv rapidly configured and trained staff on multiple Evolv Express systems and Evolv Insights analytics, delivering on-site support and quick deployment. The result: ingress times fell from 25–30 minutes to nearly none, nuisance alarms dropped by ~50%, secondary-screen times fell from 45 to 20 seconds, and there was a 15% increase in fans in their seats by puck drop (nearly 80% capacity); Evolv’s solution also freed security staff for other duties, improved threat detection, and enabled better concession planning.
