Denver Performing Arts Complex Marries Security and Patron Experience with Evolv Express® Systems to Produce an Unforgettable Show

The Denver Performing Arts Complex, a three‑venue campus in Denver that draws over one million patrons annually, faced intrusive, slow security screening with traditional magnetometers and hand‑held wands. Those systems created 10–15 minute ingress queues, high operator fatigue, poor weapons detection during the critical 15‑minute rush of roughly 1,000 patrons, and a degraded patron experience — prompting the Complex to evaluate Evolv and its contactless Evolv Express® systems.

Evolv configured, deployed and trained staff on five Evolv Express® Systems (three dual‑lane, two single‑lane) along with Evolv Insights® and Evolv Cortex AI™, replacing multiple walkthroughs and wand checks. As a result Evolv eliminated screening queues, cut false positives from ~40% to ~12%, enabled screening of about 1,000 patrons in 15 minutes, and allowed the Complex to reallocate roughly 60% of ingress security staff—while improving weapons detection and the experience for both patrons and security personnel.
