Citi Field Delivers Aims to Create Efficient Ingress Experience for New York Mets Fans with the Help of Evolv

CitiField, home of the New York Mets, faced long, intrusive security lines—often 30–40 minutes or more—caused by about 40 walkthrough metal detectors that hurt fan experience and required frequent secondary checks. Seeking faster, less intrusive screening with better analytics and easier setup, CitiField evaluated vendors and chose Evolv, beginning with a multi-year proof-of-concept using Evolv Express systems.

Evolv deployed 11 Ruggedized Evolv Express dual-lane systems along with Evolv Cortex AI, Evolv Insights analytics, training and ConOps updates, and integrations for ticketing and security workflows. As a result, Evolv reduced the screening footprint by 75% (from 40 detectors to 11 systems), dramatically lowered nuisance alarms, cut setup time from ~15 minutes to under five, sped fan entry so many reach concessions and seats before first pitch, and helped drive higher retail and F&B sales.
