A Evolv Case Study
The Boch Center, Boston’s historic performing arts venue (Wang and Shubert Theatres), was struggling with long queues caused by walkthrough metal detectors that wrapped around neighborhood businesses, delayed curtain calls, drove overtime costs, and created high nuisance alarm rates. To address these customer-experience and security challenges, Boch Center partnered with Evolv and chose Evolv Express screening systems.
Evolv deployed four Evolv Express dual‑lane systems (backed by Evolv Cortex AI and Evolv Insights), trained staff, updated operations playbooks, and provided ongoing support. The result: the screening footprint shrank from 11 metal detectors to 4 Express systems; lines that once took up to 15 minutes evaporated; nuisance alarms fell seven‑fold (~80%); roughly 12 security staff per show were reallocated (a 64% reduction in staff required per system); and patron and staff experience, training ease, and operational analytics all improved — with Evolv remaining engaged post‑deployment.
