KIA, a global automaker, needed to boost engagement with vehicle-specific content on its Korean homepage but faced a tight two-month timetable that made traditional A/B or multivariate testing impractical. To rapidly evaluate many design ideas, KIA turned to Evolv AI and its Ascend product to test multiple button and rotation-time variations without delaying a site redesign.

Evolv AI’s Ascend ran a massively multivariate, evolutionary-AI experiment over five weeks testing 23 variants across five page elements (2,592 possible combinations) and iteratively evolved designs toward the best performers. The winning Ascend-led design (maroon, larger square buttons and a 10s rotation) delivered a 113% uplift in clickthroughs versus control (projected 75–139% gain at 95% confidence) and produced a real-time 26% lift during the test.
