Toftan Creates a Bonus System Around OEE

Toftan 2, the mill at Toftan AS in Estonia, wanted a clearer way to understand production performance and motivate employees to improve it. The company needed a success metric it could trust, and chose OEE to measure availability, performance, and quality with help from Evocon’s production monitoring software.

Toftan 2 implemented Evocon across the factory to make OEE data visible, easy to understand, and usable for team discussions, then tied improvement targets to a team-based bonus system. As a result, OEE rose from about 40% to 60% in four months and later reached 75%, with management reporting 10–15% improvement soon after the bonus system was introduced.
