CareU is a SaaS vehicle-tracking solution for fleet managers that required a revamp to fix browser compatibility and page-loading errors and to add support for new devices (CAREU U1, INTELLITRAK and CANBUS), improved routing (shortest-path/direction), richer graphs/charts for fuel and speed, and alerts for overspeed and door-open events. CareU engaged Evince Development to upgrade the existing .NET system and extend its capabilities.

Evince Development implemented parallel window services (Proxy Server and Server Agent) to listen to, decode and store binary device data, and to process that data to raise alarms and notifications; the team used ASP.NET 4.0, Entity Framework, MSSQL, jQuery/AJAX, RDLC reporting and Google/Bing/MapQuest geocoding. The delivered solution enabled real-time tracking, fuel and engine diagnostics, dynamic remote engine start/stop, configurable geofences, POIs, SMS/Email alerts and comprehensive reports—resolving the compatibility and loading issues and giving fleet managers immediate, actionable visibility and control.
