Revamp Legacy System Into Cloud-agnostic Microservices for F100 Global Logistics

The customer, a global leader in rapid and reliable time-definite delivery, needed to revamp its legacy system into a cloud-agnostic platform. Its challenge was to create a robust, highly scalable architecture for real-time rating calculations to support a massive increase in daily package volume and ensure a consistent global customer experience. They partnered with Eviden to develop this new solution.

Eviden designed and implemented a cloud-ready, event-driven platform using a reactive microservice architecture. The solution leveraged technologies like Pivotal Cloud Foundry, Vert.X, and Kafka to handle thousands of messages per second, enabling faster calculations. This allowed the customer to achieve a threefold increase in capacity, successfully delivering 25 million packages per day.
