The University of Virginia Uses EverTrue to Fund Two $3 Million Professorships

The University of Virginia’s College Foundation for Arts & Sciences needed help finishing two major fundraising efforts: a $3 million professorship honoring civil rights leader Julian Bond and a $3 million economics professorship for Ken Elzinga. Using EverTrue, UVA also wanted a better way to identify and engage constituents already interacting with its social media content.

EverTrue helped the University of Virginia turn Facebook engagement into targeted outreach and stronger online giving. UVA used EverTrue data to reach more than 1,000 engaged people for the Julian Bond campaign, which helped close the $3 million gap and secure the professorship with support from over 400 donors. For the Elzinga campaign, EverTrue’s branded giving pages generated over $70,000 so far and delivered a 50% visit-to-gift rate, prompting UVA to move all Arts & Science online giving efforts to EverTrue.
