SOS Children’s Villages, a global NGO operating in 137 countries, needed a faster and more reliable way to monitor risk and respond to disasters affecting its program sites and the safety of staff and beneficiaries. To support its Global Emergency Response team, the organization turned to Everstream Analytics and its risk monitoring and assessment platform.

Everstream Analytics implemented a site-specific geographical model, risk assessment data, incident monitoring, and alerting tied directly to SOS Children’s Villages’ locations, with custom features such as satellite imagery integration. The solution helped the NGO detect incidents sooner and coordinate responses more effectively; in one example, Everstream alerted the team minutes after the April 2017 church attacks in Egypt, allowing action before major news coverage and improving reaction speed to emergencies.
