The company phone as an incentive–Dinslaken municipal utilities

Stadtwerke Dinslaken, a municipal utilities company, sought to reduce internal IT effort and improve the smartphone user experience for its employees. Their goal was to move away from rigid procurement models and extend device access to all staff, not just a select few. To achieve this, they partnered with Everphone to implement a Device as a Service solution.

Everphone's solution included a "buy and rent back" model for existing devices and a CYOD (Choose Your Own Device) program that gave employees a choice of smartphones, including private use on dual-SIM devices. This significantly relieved the internal IT department of procurement and management burdens. The project received overwhelmingly positive feedback from employees, validated the CYOD approach, and allowed Stadtwerke Dinslaken to promote a modern, sustainable employer profile.
