Orchestration of Distributed Energy 100% Net Zero Energy Emission Homes

The Queensland Government project Carseldine Village faced the challenge of creating a sustainable community and delivering 100% net zero energy emission terrace homes in Brisbane. To meet this goal and set new sustainability benchmarks, they partnered with Evergen to pilot its Intelligent Control software as part of a Home Energy Management System (HEMS).

Evergen implemented a two-year pilot program to optimize and control home batteries, air conditioning, and EV chargers. The solution used pricing and weather data to minimize grid energy costs and stabilize the network. The enrollment target of 25 homes was achieved in under five hours with a waiting list. The data gathered from the Evergen system will be used for important research to accelerate the transition to clean energy.
