The customer, a commercial and industrial energy retailer in Australia, worked with Evergen to address the challenge of managing and optimising a growing, multi-site portfolio of solar and battery investments. They needed an agile and hardware-agnostic trading platform to maximise revenue and manage market exposure across numerous shopping centres, allowing them to offer compelling energy deals to their clients.
Evergen implemented its DERMS platform and Intelligent Control service to provide autonomous, algorithm-driven optimisation of the battery fleet. The solution gave the retailer a single-pane view for monitoring and dispatching assets, co-optimising for energy costs, demand charges, and FCAS markets. The initial outcome was a targeted 10MWh capacity from 12 batteries at the first site, with a fully scalable product designed for expansion across other locations.
