The Australian DNSP, a distribution network service provider in New South Wales, faced significant grid stability challenges due to the nation's world-leading adoption of rooftop solar. This resulted in high evening demand and problematic excess solar generation, threatening the network's reliability. To address this, the utility partnered with Evergen, leveraging the Evergen Intelligent Control and DERMS platform.

Evergen's solution enabled the DNSP to monitor, control, and aggregate residential batteries into a virtual power plant (VPP). This provided fast, 5-minute telemetry reporting and dynamic rebalancing for smooth electricity flows.
