The Australian DNSP, a distribution network service provider, partnered with Evergen to address the challenge of increasing network hosting capacity for distributed energy resources. Their goal was to maximize customer participation in energy markets while ensuring the secure technical limits of the electricity network were never breached.

Evergen implemented its Intelligent Control software, which received daily dynamic operating envelopes from the DNSP. This solution optimized battery charge and discharge profiles to keep household exports within these daily limits. The results demonstrated how more customers can connect solar and storage to the network, supported a "no refusals" policy for new solar installations, and achieved the avoidance of curtailment for participants.
