Oregon State University needed a scalable way to educate a large, diverse student body about alcohol abuse and sexual assault prevention while also meeting federal compliance requirements. In partnership with EVERFI, the university implemented online prevention education for incoming students using AlcoholEdu for College and Haven – Understanding Sexual Assault.

EVERFI helped Oregon State combine online learning with in-person support from campus prevention staff, creating a comprehensive prevention strategy that reached students before they arrived on campus. The results were strong: the university achieved a 95% student completion rate for the online courses and exceeded compliance with Title IX, the Clery Act (Campus SaVE/VAWA), and EDGAR Part 86, while also seeing positive student feedback on the relevance and usability of the content.
