How Provident Bank Partnered with EVERFI to Give Back to The Community

Provident Bank, a community-focused financial institution, wanted to strengthen its outreach and support customers and local communities through financial education. The bank needed a way to deliver engaging, practical literacy programs for both high school students and adult learners, while aligning with New Jersey’s financial and economic literacy requirements.

Working with EVERFI and its financial education platform, Provident Bank launched the Becoming Financially Fit (BFF) program in schools and later expanded it to adults through its website. EVERFI helped design and launch the curriculum, provide reporting, and support school engagement; the results included 34 schools sponsored, 1,639 students reached, 8,535 modules completed, and over 6,400 hours of learning, with the broader program later totaling 7,402 students, 19,181 modules completed, and 14,380+ hours.
