St Luke’s Health System - Customer Case Study

St. Luke’s Health System, Idaho’s not‑for‑profit regional health system, was facing a rising volume of critical product alerts—items such as failing defibrillators or surgical components that could cause serious harm. Critical alerts doubled from 15 in 2016 to 30 in 2017 and were already at 29 through September 2018, and the system lacked a reliable way to raise immediate visibility and ensure timely action on those high‑risk assignments. SLHS set a standard to resolve 100% of critical alerts within 24 hours to protect patients and staff.

To meet that goal SLHS implemented Everbridge to send immediate text alerts to trained “Trackers,” who then use the product‑alert software to view issue details, required actions and purchase history; backups and tracking/reporting are automated. As a result, SLHS has met its 24‑hour resolution standard for the last ten months, improving speed, accountability and community safety while reporting performance to senior leadership through dashboards and scorecards.
