A Everbridge Case Study
Renown Health, Nevada’s largest not-for-profit integrated healthcare network with more than 7,000 employees and roughly 4,000 trauma activations a year, needed a more reliable, faster way to alert clinical teams. Their legacy alphanumeric pager system depended on WiFi, produced inconsistent free-text messages, offered no confirmation or tracking, and forced charge nurses into time-consuming workarounds that sometimes delayed critical responses.
Renown implemented Everbridge Mass Notification, adding escalation groups and landline fallbacks, contact-scheduling, standardized message templates, and real-time delivery tracking. The change reduced alerting time from about 1–2 minutes to 15–30 seconds (an 85% reduction), eliminated thousands of extraneous pages, proved resilient during an internet outage, was deployed in two weeks, and improved overall staff responsiveness and patient safety.
