Johnson Controls Improves Response Time and Reduces Manual Tasks with Everbridge

Johnson Controls International (JCI), a global leader in smart sustainable buildings with more than 100,000 employees across 150 countries and roughly 1,600 offices, faced fragmented systems and unstructured HR data that made asset oversight and communications manual and time-consuming. These disparate processes left the GSOC overwhelmed, unable to consistently focus on high‑risk events like severe weather or security incidents.

By deploying Everbridge — including the Visual Command Center and CEM — JCI consolidated its asset and HR data into a common operating picture that automates notifications, issues early FYI alerts, and streamlines alert creation with checklists and VCC screenshots. The implementation reduced hours and costs tied to manual tasks, improved response times and prioritization of threats, and enabled targeted, automated communications, with Mass Notification planned to further enhance resilience.
