A Everbridge Case Study
The U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary, a volunteer force supporting safety and security across all 50 states and multiple territories, needed a flexible, easy way to alert and manage thousands of members across numerous Districts and geographies to fulfill its “Semper Paratus” mission. The organization required a system that could support both routine coordination and rapid, large-scale emergency notifications.
After evaluating options, the Auxiliary selected Everbridge for its security, technical capabilities, ease of use, and district-level customizability. The platform lets Districts operate autonomously while scaling up information flow to command levels; what once took teams of six up to 12 hours can now be done by one person in minutes. Everbridge consolidates voice and text paths, prompts confirmations, and proved critical during Hurricanes Gustav and Ike—helping Districts account for 85% of members in 15 minutes and coordinate evacuations and shelters-in-place.
