How the State of Connecticut Uses Everbridge to Improve Emergency Management

The State of Connecticut implemented CT Alerts, an Everbridge‑powered emergency notification system to replace a patchwork of different alerting tools used across agencies, municipalities and health districts. That fragmentation made statewide communication, training and coordinated response difficult.

Switching to a single Everbridge platform enabled targeted GIS‑based alerts, online staff training and expanded operational use beyond emergencies. The result: improved operational efficiencies, rapid growth to over 100,000 citizen opt‑ins (up from roughly 50,000), adoption by dozens of municipalities, and more precise, timely communications while reducing unnecessary overnight messages.
