The City of New Orleans, a major tourist and events hub (Mardi Gras, past Super Bowl), needed a reliable way to communicate quickly with residents, visitors, city employees and emergency responders around large events, resident alerts, severe weather, and fire/EMS operations. With thousands of visitors during peak seasons and significant economic impacts, the city required targeted, timely alerts for both public and internal audiences.
Everbridge provided a unified, multi-channel critical messaging platform that the city uses nearly every week for events and daily for fire and EMS. The system supports GIS-targeted alerts and contact groups for departments, improves internal communications by ensuring delivery and providing message history, and integrates with the city’s NOLA Ready outreach to reliably reach the right people when it matters most.
